Compact, tree-like cholla to 6 feet tall and wide. Purple flowers. Grows in dry grasslands. The dried wood caness make for good long straight walking sticks.
Red spines fade to grey as they age.

Medium shrubby cholla to 3ft., can grow low and sprawl.
A genus of 52 orchids from sub-tropical Asia. Hardy outdoors. Perfect as a potted patio plant or great as houseplants. Generally terrestrial, sometimes epiphytic. Fleshy leaves arc outwards from the pseudobulb.

Temperate Carnivore
Native Californian carnivore that grows best outdoors with cool roots and night time temperatures. Keep pots sheltered from hot afternoon sun. Grow in Carnivorous Plant Blend or long fibered sphagnum.

Beautiful foliage, white furry rhizomes. Fronds are intricately divided. Epiphytic in nature, can grow in hanging baskets and indoor. Will lose fronds in winter, may go deciduous.
2″ flowers orange with red, pink, white. Mat-forming.
