Fibonacci in Plants


From V, we find this link to an article about math and plants. I don’t understand this article at all. But it has these lovely pictures of Sempervivums,  and this to say about them.

You can find the Fibonacci numbers by counting the helical arrangement of leaves on plants.

Yeah sure whatever. I’m counting, but I’m not getting any patterns. Maybe if I dissected one?
