An Agave Blooms in Oregon


I love the fact that blooming agaves get full newspaper treatment, all around the country.

Georgia Lind’s century plant is 12 feet 7 inches tall, says groundskeeper Bill Hardy. Once it blooms, it will die. Bob Pennell.

Usually its the A. americanas in the last throes that get a reporter’s attention. This time it’s a A. parryi. Very nice.
