How to Shade a Cactus
Apparently, it's important to provide shade to a cactus. And the cactus does it all by itself. So says the Arizona Daily Star.
Hmmm.
● A cactus's prickly spines not only keep many animals from getting the water it stores for itself, but they also provide shade on the plant.
● Pack rats build a big house of sticks, cactus and other items to shade their underground nest.
