Environmental groups have had it with cactus crooks. They're offering a reward to help catch whoever is digging up and stealing saguaros on the west side of Tucson. Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, the Arizona Native Plant Society and the Center for Biological Diversity are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the cactus thieves. There have been two incidents recently. One occurred on private property near Tucson Mountain Park and the other at Saguaro National Park. Anyone with information about the incidents can call 88-CRIME. Trackbacks
